Not easy to guess which species they come from? Virginie, the expert, is there to guide the children and answer any crazy questions.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The eggs are then pampered, and we&#8217;re taught how to look at them using a lamp. The fertilized ones will be placed in an incubator, then moved to the hatchery after a few weeks. A little patience before the <strong>babies<\/strong> come out of their shells!  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After theory comes practice! It&#8217;s time to take care of the newborns. First of all, inspection of food and water bowls, monitoring and discovery of <strong>births<\/strong>, enclosure maintenance &#8211; no time to get bored! Where the first task of the apprentice caretakers is to feed them hay. Then it&#8217;s off to pamper them with a few green leaves here and a few caresses there&#8230; They share the enclosure with<strong> a bunch of rabbits and guinea pigs <\/strong>who don&#8217;t let themselves be petted easily, but a delicious dandelion might change their minds!   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.domainedeladombes.com\/en\/animal-parks\/les-animaux-du-domaine\/\">The aviary<\/a><\/strong>The aviary is a small haven of peace for our feathered friends. Watch your step between the <strong>duck <\/strong>droppings and the risk of knocking over a <strong>hen<\/strong>, <strong>pheasant or peacock.<\/strong> An egg hunt is also on the agenda. Well-hidden, it&#8217;s hard to tell the difference between the real eggs and the fake ones deliberately placed by our <strong>caretakers.<\/strong> We then learn that these false eggs are in fact a precious aid to encourage and promote egg-laying and brooding. Depending on the season, the aviary is also a field of feathers. Long, short, colorful, there are so many species in the aviary. Fortunately, Flavien is here to share his knowledge.      <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8211; <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.domainedeladombes.com\/en\/animal-parks\/les-animaux-du-domaine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>The<\/strong> <strong>toy donkey park<\/strong> <\/a>to meet our latest resident, a cute little <strong>colt<\/strong> who arrived in April. Daddy NOUGAT and mommy PTIT GRIS are not shy, and let themselves be stroked and brushed with ease.
