Reputed for its wild nature and its fishy ponds, the Dombes is a very much appreciated fishing territory.
A ” no kill ” fishing
Here at Domaine de la Dombes, we believe in respecting the environment. That’s why we fish NO KILL. For those unfamiliar with fishing jargon, this is the obligation to throw fish back into the water. Find out more about this practice.
What do we fish at the Domaine?
The Domaine’s 9-hectare pond is one of the deepest in the Dombes region. What’s more, the fish species are numerous!
You will be able to catch:
- carp
- pike-perch
- pike
- black bass
- sturgeon
- roach
- perch
You will maybe encounter a catfish, considered as damaging, this specie will exceptionnally not be thrown back in the water.
